The Province of Nemedobur

Nemedobur (NEH-meh-doh-BUR) is a collective of many smaller Shards that are largely unexplored due to their unstable nature. These Shards seem to still be largely affected by the magic that caused the planes to original fragment despite the time that's passed since that original event. At a glance, these Shards have abundant resources ripe for the taking, but most expeditions attempting to gather these resources or settle onto them have failed. The only successful settlement so far has been by The Voyagers who have established a branch of the Guild on the Shard known as Crannathragh.

Crannathragh

Crannathragh (CRAN-nuth-ragh) is the largest shard in the Nemedobur Province, covered in an expansive and thick jungle forest. Most of it remains untouched, a small portion of it containing a small, fortified outpost maintained by The Voyagers among the canopy layer in a section of the forest near the edge of the shard. The trees stand hundreds of feet tall with massive and thick trunks. It takes days to weeks to cut even one of the medium sized trees down, and so those hoping to make a home here have instead settled for living among the trees, hollowing out small sections and building in between them. Staying this high protects them from some of the massive creatures that call the forest floor their home, their dinosaur companions helping to fend off the rest. Even the flora here can be dangerous, so adventurers must tread lightly while exploring this lush green world.

Criostalun [DESTROYED]

Criostalun (CREE-oh-STAH-loon) is a shard mainly consisting of a shallow sea with large polygonal columns forming plateaus, hills, and mountains. Most of these rocky outcrops have at least a small grotto if not an entrance to massive caves that go below the surface. Within them are massive and beautiful crystalline growths, creating a striking, yet dangerous landscape. Every time explorers try to chart the caves, the crystals have seemingly grown or changed, altering or blocking off known safe routes and potentially creating new ones. The denizens of these caves also sport crystal growths, leading some to be hesitant about interacting with the crystals at all for fear of the growth spreading to them.

On this Shard, a village has been discovered that has formed a unique cultural practice. Status within the village is earned by spending time in the treacherous crystal caves below the surface. The longer a person survives, the higher status they earn. The Shattered Shards are a group of orphans that have come together for safety and community within this village, and have a unique background associated with them.

It was discovered that within this Shard was a massive creature, from which the crystal infection began. It tore itself out of the Shard, attacking the Welmet and eventually fusing itself with the dragon that had been within the Welmet's moon. This giant monstrosity was destroyed by the Homeshard Heroes in an epic battle.

Dearaigsach

Dearaigsach (DAYR-ayg-suh) is a shard covered in beautiful deserts, red-rock structures, and canyons. Within the rocks or along the shifting sands, adventurers can find ruined structures and the fossilized remains of massive creatures, with the bones melding into the landscape and becoming crucial parts of the biome. Despite being relatively safe with stable weather, landscapes, and generally tolerate wildlife, Crannathragh is seen as more hospitable is due to the climate, with temperatures on Daeraigsach regularly reaching levels that could easily kill unprepared adventurers. Having adequate water, clothing that covers exposed skin, and heat-resistance potions is key to exploring this shard, with only the foolhardy explorers ever daring to touch the sandy surface without them.

Dorhascail

Dorchascail (DOOR-ha-SKOHL) is a Shadow Shard that has seemingly fused with pieces of the Underdark, creating a unique biome that lives in eternal night. Something in the combined fragments of Weave remaining in the shards has resulted in forest-like structures made from stalagmites and massive fungal growths. Former denizens of both realms have clashed or come together to create brand new species, evolving into things familiar, yet not. The oppressive nature of the Shadowfell permeates through the core of this shard and into the creatures that now call it home. Explorers are warned not to linger, lest the shard's latent emotional effects start to grip at their minds too.

Gantra [MISSING]

Gantra (GAHN-trah) is a shard plagued by constant storms. The severity of the storms changes with seemingly no rhyme or reason, making this shard one of the most unpredictable. A light drizzle can shift to a hurricane, then to a dry windstorm all in the span of half an hour. Life on this shard has adapted to the constantly wet and flooded conditions, the flora having striking resemblances to aquatic plants, and most fauna being amphibious. Massive swamps and floodplains make up most of the terrain, and those traversing this plane should watch out for sinkholes that drop into a labyrinth of flooded cave systems. Oh, and don't wear your good boots, they're going to spend most of their time submerged in the thigh to knee deep water that blankets Gantra.

After an exploratory mission onto this Shard, Voyagers watched as Gantra was dragged into a tear in the Aether, vanishing before their very eyes. There have been no signs of it since.

Luaighear

Luaighear (LOO-ay-eer) is a place of gray-black ice and snow. The running theory is that Elemental Shards from the planes of Ice and Ash came together, creating a treacherous mountain range stretching across the center of this shard, essentially dividing it into two halves. The first half resembles a tundra with expanses of flat land with shallow lakes. A fine layer of ash seems to permanently blanket the land here, creating an almost desert-like appearance. The other half is covered in ice spires and plateaus, massive crevasses that seemingly go on forever, and icy seas a person could traverse by hopping from iceberg to iceberg. Blizzards regularly blanket the plane in new layers of snow and ash, and the frigid temperatures mean any adventurers must bundle up well or freeze to death.

Rianglas

Rianglas (REE-ahn-GLOHS) is a glittering sea that seems to glow when the light catches the strangely gold-hued waters right. With small volcanic islands dotting this shard, it's become home to a strange variety of rare, newly evolved flora and fauna, as well as valuable minerals. Ruins sit under the surprisingly deep waters, rich with plunder, but guarded by massive creatures that call them their home. Recent developments in magic and alchemy have allowed for some initial excursions into this peculiar, mostly underwater world, but charting this shard has proved more treacherous than most. Between volcanic eruptions and limited air supply, there are a lot of difficulties to navigate on Rianglas.
