Session Date: 04/25/2026
Game Masters: Cosimo, Declan, and Rew
[We open in the Council meeting room of The Welmet, one of the only places large enough to accommodate such a large group of people. The Homeshard Heroes are present, along with Brix, The Lady, all four Founding Voyagers, the representatives from The Road and Nemedobur, a Dockside representative, Mr Blu, Lil Nicky, Letharr, Valdis, Mask, and The DuPonts of The Order of the Spectral Thorn. More people wait outside of the meeting room, a gathering of people from all over The Aether, waiting for this urgent meeting to end. Outside the window, the backdrop of this meeting on the bridge, is a massive being made of pure light, tearing apart the Aether at large as other parts of Aurora’s forces begin to advance.]
Brix: Alright, listen up people, we don’t have much time. Aurora is striking now, and she’s coming at us with everything she’s got.
Isaiah: Fortunately, we’ve been able to get in contact with the majority of our allies, and they’re all here today. Of course, you have us Voyagers, Letharr and Valdis have come up from Rianglas as soon as they heard, and we have willing and able fighters and mages from all around Nemedobur to come help us as well.
The Lady: The resources of The Welmet are also at our disposal, with Topside, Dockside, and Mr. Blu and Lil Nicky being present to assist. It seems Mask has seen fit to join us as well.
Mask: Yeah, don’t look too much into this, I’m just here because I live here and would prefer to keep living here, it’s not anything more than that.
Caelus: What remains of The Order of Spectral Thorns, as well as The Shadar-kai Whimsicals, have also agreed to come help us today, so we’re quite the eclectic bunch! How exciting. You’ve all been very busy since I’ve been away, I have loved hearing about all of your adventures.
Brix: You’ve all made quite a few friends since all of this has started, and it’s going to be a big help today. Unfortunately, Maze and Storm of Vengeance are still recouping after the losses sustained while raiding Gamma Co., so they can’t be present today, but taking Gamma Co. out of the picture is still a big win, and we’ve got allies to spare.
Steve: Seems like Aurora is working on a Demiurge of her own, and compared to everything else we’ve seen so far, this might be the most successful one yet. It’s not a blob of infection like the Criostalun one, or a big machine like Gamma Co.’s, but it seems to be kinda in the same vein as the Monster Energy Shard monster, and the Demogorgon’s ritual that you all stopped on Rianglas.
The Lady: The Shard of Gantra, the swamp Shard of Nemedobur, has made a surprise reappearance. It seems Aurora has placed some sort of magical conduit within the center of the Shard, and is using it to empower her Demiurge as it rampages throughout the Aether. We believe there to be other such conduits, but they are unreachable at the moment.
Guinevere: Destroying this first one should open the door to reaching the rest, weakening her defenses and her Demiurge bit by bit. Your first job is going to be heading onto Gantra and taking down that conduit however you can. Wish we knew more about it, but we don’t, so we’re sending all of you. As for the rest of us, we’ll be trying to divide up our forces as best we can to deal with Aurora and her forces in the interim. You all can’t destroy her conduits if she’s focused just on you lot, after all.
Brix: While we do need to confront her forces directly, even if we throw everything we have at them, I don’t think we win that fight. That’s why we need to try and further divide up her forces with distractions, and with some sabotage if we can swing it.
Isaiah: And thankfully, I was already working on a more powerful, modified version of the ritual used to defeat Cyric in case this happened, so we’ll need strong casters to assist in performing that while everyone else goes out in the field.
Caelus: It likely won’t work the way we need it to until we dismantle a few of those conduits, but it should get Aurora into a more weakened state that will allow us to challenge her head on. It is positively brilliant though, great work on that by the way, to those of you who helped do that. I know challenging a God is a rather frightening proposition, but you’ve already defeated Cyric, and you’ve beaten Monster Energy, Demogorgon, thwarted Dagon’s machinations- I’m quite certain that this is very achievable.
The Lady: I have taken into account these successes, and calculated an approximate 28.4% chance of-
Steve: O-kay, we don’t need exact numbers here, let’s ah not get caught up in all that. We’ve got this guys, right? Totally got this.
