+Ancient legends states that Valhir shaped the northern lands with his deeds, be they creating mountains out of great lava wyrms or carving fjords with a swipe of his claws. He sees civilization as anathema; that mortals would rather tame the wild beast than let it run free infuriates him.
+Another story describes Valhir approaching his brother, the demigod forge-ram Ornn, for weapons and tools to enact a crusade to return the world to a wild state. When Ornn refused, the two engaged in a violent brawl and ended with Valhir injured and Ornn's followers dead. Since then, Valhir has refused to use armor or weapons. Tooth, claw, and thunderous wrath would be enough.
