• The Homeshard Heroes arrive on the shard of Shadowhaven, a shard famous for its deep, dark red wine vintages. They were dispatched by the officials of Flaygallows that something is amiss.
• Lith and Psitheris both arrived to follow some dreams they have been having about a disturbed dryad in the woods.
• The party passes by the “gatehouse” as they enter the small village of about a thousand Shadar-Kai souls.
• They visit the sheriff who tells them about several rumors
• The Madwoman of Shadowhaven is a widow believes that the teen child she brought home from a recent trip to Flaygallows was a monster made of shadows rather than her actual son. The locals whisper that she is the one culpable for the child's disappearance. She repeatedly sings a lullaby over and over.
