Race: Human Class: Circle of Spores Druid

Flynnilea Artus was born in rot… or something like that. Necromancers overtook her hometown, rendering it an undead wasteland. Flynn was spared from the decay thanks to rescue by her aunt, Catia Willowleaf. Unfortunately, Aunt Catia died while Flynn was still too young to remember her. She did not die, however, before entrusting her care to a pair of humble bookkeepers- Iparug and Tamyra Pebbleshield. Catia befriended the pair of gnomes quickly and began working in their shop shortly after arriving in the safe haven village where they resided. Never able to have children of their own, the pair raised Flynn and fostered in her a love for literature. Flynn lived a calm fairly carefree life tucked away between shelves of books and occasionally remembering that she was supposed to be selling them, not just reading them. Luckily, she found she had a penchant for magic and was able to summon a familiar to help watch the store and alert her if customers were in need of service. Flynn read for the sake of reading, loving to learn and to escape into stories. She also hoped one day she may find a book that could explain the symbols on the wooden medallion she wore around her neck, the one and only piece she had of her parents. She worked her way through the quaint shop’s catalog of curiosities until one day a tome on horticulture sparked a change in her. The book appeared to be a simple enough profile of local fungi, but inside it spoke of a demon prince “Zuggtomy” and the dark powers of fungus and rot. It was then, for the first time, that Flynn suddenly could read the word etched into her medallion- “ROT.” She went home abruptly and confused, noticing herself affecting small changes in natural elements around her. That night was the first she dreamt of, and really met with, Leitra. Flynn learned from Leitra that she had inherent magical ability as a druid of the circle of spores, and was somewhat distraught by the revelation. But she learned from Leitra the good that she could do with these powers, as evil as their origins may seem. Necromancy could perhaps even be used for good, perhaps she could prove that to herself, in a (perhaps somewhat twisted?) way of honoring her original home and her parents who died (and/or undied?) there. Flynn’s current goal is simply to continue to hone her skills, to learn what it means to be a druid with the guidance of the Maiden of Rot. She eventually will return home to her books and her gnomish family, but for now she has sought out the life of the adventurer to get to know this new side of herself.

Flynn is played by Karen.
