Major Plot Points
- The Homeshard Heroes arrive at Flaygallows docks on a ship owned by Wildare the Merchant. They find the home and workplace of dockmaster, Pike “banana pants” Woolery lit on fire by a cadre of Malmyrdons who had emerged from a nearby vessel.
- The Malmyrdons call the adventurers “Whimsicals” as an epithet on several occasions.
- As the Malmyrdons are defeated, the adventurers see that the local law shows up. Although they are late, Major Segheath and his majordomo Sgt. Daesh questioned the adventurers like they were very passive aggressive.
- Harbor Master “bananapants” Pike is smitten with the Homeshard Heroes, and is simply happy to be alive.
- Keeka and Baila have a bagpipe and fiddle concert on the docks which attracts the attention of Prince Rebus
- The prince takes them to the Charcoal Square for a late night celebration. All the party members ordered something unique including a fairy-flavored drink for Andromeda, spicy milk for Psithuris, and “Barney the Dinosaur” for Keeka.
- That morning, they find Wildare's “Green Grocery” establishment vandalized.
- Soon, Major Segheath comes by to take Wildare into custody. Two children were found poisoned from fruit taken from the “Green Grocery.” May of the locals call it “Tomato Poisoning.”
- The party are able to meet with the two children named Blerb and Flern. Roe manages to save them from certain death with healing magic. After some understanding discussion, they learn that the poisoned fruit in fact came from Sgt Daesh.
- The Homeshard Heroes work out that the recent incursions of Malmyrdons came from ships hired and operated by Sgt Daesh himself.
- Major Segheath gives the Homeshard Heroes a weak, but heartfelt apology for how they were treated and promises to think twice before stereotyping “Whimsicals” who arrive in The Flaygallows.
- The party travels to Flufflewick to try and track down Sgt Daesh.
- The party meets the Horned Lagamorphs, and makes friends with their leader Bundelaire.
- The Homeshard Heroes locate Sgt Daesh in a deep canyon. Here, Malmyrdons were being created in a great factory. The heroes sneak in and attack. Sgt Daesh was able to escape in the last minute on a voidship.
- The shard begins to implode, pulling in on itself. It seems that this behavior has nothing to do with Daesh or the remaining Malmyrdons who are destroyed.
- The Horned Lagomorphs of Flufflewick, may be called as a special familiar. Any who casts Find Familiar on a shard with these animals may choose to call one to their service. This creature is a Celestial Land familiar and acts just like any other familiar except for three additional elements. It can cast Detect Magic and “sniff” out any sort of magic all on its own once per long rest, it gives the caster an additional 1st level spell slot as long as it lives, and instead of a climb speed it has a burrowing speed at 15’.
- Psithuris remaks that lately he's been noticing that many of the stars seen across the Aether have been disappearing from view. He takes on the remaining Horned Lagomorphs, who now live among the dinosaurs of his home shard.
