Player Characters

The Province of Nemedobur - Declan's adventuring province; a group of dangerously unstable and widely unexplored shards
Criostalun - A smaller shard located in The Province of Nemedobur that has a shallow sea on the surface, and an endless maze of constantly shifting crystal caves below
Isaiah - An anxious human man & one of the Founding Voyagers
Caelus - A peculiar tiefling scientist & one of the Founding Voyagers

The party is shuttled over to Criostalun for a voyage with Caelus and Isaiah
Caelus has organized a voyage to capture a live specimen using a special device Savai, the Voyager's resident tinkerer, has created
Isaiah has come along to get some time in the field and to supervise Caelus's exploits
The group enter the cave system, navigating the crystals with great caution
They come upon an underground lake, where Klarna and Beatrix spot something moving under the surface
A large crystal-infested creature breeches the water and attacks the party, seemingly upset by the light of Beatrix's lantern
- The creature has a long, eel-like body with several rows of teeth and a pale, thick hide
They slay it together, collecting a few samples along the way
As the party moves forward, they are ambushed by a group of strange creatures with squid-like bodies that resemble stalactites (colloquially known as “stalac-bites”)
Among them is a massive one, the mother to the smaller ones they are currently fighting, and revealed to be Caelus's elusive quarry for the day
After some difficulty with the device, Caelus manages to shrink the mama stalac-bite down and capture it, while the rest of the party take care of the little ones
Several more samples are collected in the nearby area, and the party then ascends safely to the surface
