Appearance
Isva is always dressed for hard work, her strong orc physique emphasized by practical clothing. Her long hair is tied up out of her face, her leather apron worn from years of use. She's never without her tools, and is frequently depicted hard at work in the forge. Occasionally, she's shown holding something she's made, dressed more simply in cotton shirts and loose trousers.
Personality
Isva is a very intelligent and creative deity, her teachings focused on nurturing those with curious and creative minds. She welcomes those who are passionate about creating with their hands, those who aren't afraid to get dirty and make a million mistakes before perfecting their craft. Creativity is a driving force, but dedication is the vehicle that allows a person to arrive at their destination. Isva is committed to her work through and through, inspiring her followers to do the very same.
Worshippers & Practices
Isvans will frequently be found working in shrines or temples dedicated to the Goddess. The best way to worship Isva is by making something new, and so her clergy are constantly inventing and repairing things within the temples. Altars are covered in sketches, items in need of repair, or newly finished creations. They are left there usually for a full day, in the hopes that Isva will be pleased with the offering, and bless the project. Her priests are often known to bless projects as well, in addition to offering help and guidance along the way when a follower hits a bump in the road.
Isvan clergy are usually skilled craftsmen in their own regard, and take on apprentices in their specific craft as a way to bring in more followers of Isva. All apprentices will be expected to spend a year working on an invention of some kind, whether it be something entirely new or an improvement on old designs. Finishing this project and presenting it to the clergy for approval is how apprentices become full priests of Isva, and various members of the clergy will be eager to show off their particular project as a point of pride.
