• Gloomwrought - A mercantile powerhouse
  • King Elisar - A reasonable monarch, leader of Gloomwrought and widowed father of Rhebus
  • Prince Rhebus - Promised groom to Gloriana
• Brickhell - This shard is famous for its fortress-like construction
  • General Karioch - An angry half-undead fascist
• Voidhaunt - Known for the libraries including the haunted vaults and the blasphemous stacks; many of those who work and serve here are either voluntarily blind or illiterate
  • Minister Rakthar of Voidhaunt - An addled leader, later revealed to have fascist sympathies
• Umberhowl - Known for the monsters raised in its wide-open jungles and mountain ranges
  • Warden Pontius - The simple master of Umberhowl
• Shadowhaven - This small shadow shard is famous for its wine production
  • Mayor Tristana - The leader of Shadowhaven who is in love with another Shadar-Kai
• Antoine Pierre - The Imperial ambassador
• Chaddrus - Caiel's infernal father by Chartreuse and owner/operator of Chads-R-Us Voidships in Welmet
• Glimpseox - An Eye Tyrant who loves himself almost as much as he loves gold
• Operative Stiner - A corporate cog of the Gamma Co
• Wildare - The owner of the Green Grocer, an enterprising Shadar-Kai merchant
• Harbormaster Pike (aka Bananapants) - A whimsical Shadar-Kai bon vivant
• Ashriel - The leader of the Shadowfell Fascists revival

• The Homeshard Heroes arrive at Flaygallows to find it all decked out for a big, royal wedding. All sorts of Shadar-Kai warships hang nearby in orbit.
• Harbormaster Pike bring the party to a party at the Flaygallows Green Grocer where they are celebrated by the Whimsicals for all of their good deeds for the shard of Flaygallows.
• Chartreuse confronts Chaddrus
• The heroes overhear General Karioch and Minister Rakthar discussing the fact that the “Monstrous Energy” is already in place. “The herald has truly set the table for the Dark Messiah.”
• There is much chaos as refugee ships are being coordinated and supplies are being allocated for the over fourteen-thousand Shadar-Kai civilians. All that remain of the civilians that once lived on the Shadowfell shards. Each of the Shadowfell shards have smashed into one-another killing untold thousands. The shards appeared to combine into a humanoid shape with the Shadowfell fascist's tower at its head.
