Provinces
The Aether is roughly divided into Provinces of space each with a number of singular Shards and Shard Systems. Here is a list of some of them:
DM Jurisdiction Provinces
Each of the campaign's game masters have the final say or “jurisdiction” over what happens in certain provinces. This is a list of those provinces and who controls which.
- Welmet - The primary adventuring province in Cosimo's jurisdiction and home of the Welmet Voidspace station
- The Frost Shepherds - A province full of history and import, the remains of the great fragment of the Prime Material plane that forced the final refugees to build the voidship Home.
- Gamma Metropolis - The primary adventuring province in Rachel's jurisdiction
- The Road - The primary adventuring province in Rew's jurisdiction
- Nemedobur - The primary adventuring province in Declan's jurisdiction
Other Provinces
Other provinces are shared between the game masters providing backstory, metaplot, and opportunities for collaboration in the future. Not all of them are completely fleshed out as the jurisdictional provinces are. Those provinces include:
- The Empire of Blossoms - A shared province of faded Feywild might ruled by an empire of decadent elves who are content to have their mercenaries use the empire's advanced Arcana to do their dirty work for them
- The Blight - A province of torture and madness rumored to be the graveyard of gods
- Occulous - A province ruled by eye tyrants
- Dreamshards - A province of Fey Shards populated by the dead and ruled by ghosts who have forgotten that they no longer live
- Remnant - The refugees of Home miraculously discovered an intact mega-shard of the Material Plane. It got cut out and stays in relatively good shape. It is the size (not the shape) of the state of Delaware.
Voidspan Gates
There are a number of Voidspan Gates instantly connecting several shards across provinces through a portal that any sort of individual could just walk through when it is energized.
